Contact matching uses phone-number hashes; contact names are not uploaded.

If you choose contact matching, phone numbers are converted on your device into one-way SHA-256 hashes. These hashes are used for matching; contact names and plain phone numbers are not uploaded for this purpose. Submitted contact hashes are not retained.
You can revoke contacts permission in phone settings. This does not automatically unfollow people you already follow. Details: https://weroom.app/en/privacy
